BRENT ALLPRESS, RESEARCH DIRECTOR, RMIT ARCHITECTURE
Brent Allpress is the Research Director at RMIT Architecture in Melbourne, Australia. He formerly held the position of Director of Architecture. He is the coordinator of the architecture postgraduate programs and the architectural history and theory stream. His teaching and research focuses on architectural design and discourse. He is the founding editor of
Architectural Design Research, the first international project-based architectural research journal. He has curated RMIT Architecture exhibitions in the Shanghai Art and Architecture Biennale, 2008 and the Beyond Media - International Festival for Architecture and Media in Florence, 2009. He is an invited speaker at the 1st International Symposium on Distributed Intelligence in Design, Salford, UK, in May 2009.
