DR PIA EDNIE-BROWN
SENIOR LECTURER, RMIT ARCHITECTURE. RESEARCH LEADER, RMIT SPATIAL INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE LABORATORY (SIAL)
Dr Pia Ednie-Brown is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT Architecture and a research leader in SIAL. She is a writer, designer and educator. Her texts and projects have been published and exhibited internationally. Her work negotiates emerging modes of organisation and related architectural design practices via a focus on embodiment, presence and new technologies. Current research explores ethics and aesthetics as key drivers of innovation, with an emphasis on design and the biotechnological. Her diverse transdisciplinary research activities are undertaken through the practice
onomatopoeia.
