SUZIE ATTIWILL
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, PROGRAM DIRECTOR, RMIT INTERIOR DESIGN
Suzie Attiwill is Program Director of RMIT Interior Design. Her practice involves the design of exhibitions, curatorial work, writing and working on a range of interdisciplinary projects in Australia and overseas. Her research questions dominant phenomenological models of interior and interiority to re-pose concepts of interior in relation to exteriors. These concerns are motivated by a desire to shift from the centrality of the subject/individual to explore the potential of collectives/groups as sites of social and cultural transformation. The research is conducted through curatorial practice where the exhibition environment becomes a site of experimentation and engagement. She is a member of the Urban Interior {UI} research group.
