Partial renovation of an expansive existing residence at Maxime Court, Isle of Capri.

The renovation and extension was isolated to the existing western wing of the house. The client wanted to open up the room to the water view and replace the low ceilings with high vaulted and raftered ceilings to sympathise with the existing house.

 

We retained the strong roof lines and adopted the palette of materials dictated by the rest of the house to create a large outdoor terrace overlooking a landscaped pool and entertaining area.

 

A set of customised timber bi-fold doors were added to dissolve the transition between inside and outside opening up the once dark area to the light and views.
